BUTOH: Death and EROS

Standing together on the edge of the cliff. In the exciting sweet spot between almost falling and longing to take one more step on the journey to your desire.

How does your unspoken fantasy drive you? How does your deepest desire change your movement in the group? Have you always wanted to do a striptease as a corpse?

Today is your chance. Death and Eros as equal sources of your movement improvisation. Both try to push you off the cliff and hold you back so you don’t fall.

With little language and lots of movement, we will ask ourselves these questions and approach them. Your inner experience will be transported to the outside world through movement as a catalyst. Language is more than secondary in this process. The workshop consists of a guided warm-up and longer movement phases in the group, which are based on improvisation.

Alexander Hahne (he/him). Trained in Butoh dance by Sabine Seume (from the Carlotta Ikeda Butoh Ensemble Japan). Further Butoh influences mainly from Ken Mai, Natsuko Kono, Tadashi Endo and others. Further roots in movement can be found in ballet, improvisational dance, martial arts and Body-Mind Centering. Various shows and performances since 2010. ‘The Post-Queer Dilemma’ by Guy Marsan (2023) and ‘tracing NYMPHxFAUN’ by Mooooon (2023). Currently working on the project ‘The Human Butoh Box’ (2024) with Mar Mäander/Maren Konn. Speaker on sexual health, bodyworker and author of specialist books.

Cancellation

Cancellations may not be pretty, but they happen because life moves. Unfortunately, we cannot bear the risk of failures alone. If you withdraw from the registration, you will receive from the seminar fee:

Up to 2 weeks before you’ll get 50% back. Thereafter, the full participation fee will be due.

It is possible to appoint a replacement person.

If the workshop has to be cancelled by the instructor or motionlab.cologne, you will be rebooked for a workshop of your choice in the three following months free of charge.

BUTOH: TOD UND EROS

Gemeinsame Grenzgänge an der Klippe stehend. Im aufregenden Sweetspot des fast Fallens und Sehnsucht, noch einen Schritt weitergehen auf der Reise zu deiner Lust.

Wie treibt dich deine unausgesprochene Phantasie an? Wie verändert dein tiefstes Begehren deine Bewegung in der Gruppe? Du wolltest schon immer mal als Leiche einen Striptease machen?

Heute ist deine Gelegenheit dazu. Tod und Eros als gleichsame Quelle deiner Bewegungsimprovisation. Beides versucht dich von der Klippe zu stoßen und hält dich fest, dass du nicht fällst.

Mit wenig Sprache und viel Bewegen werden wir uns diesen Fragen stellen und nähern. Dein inneres Erleben wird durch Bewegung als Katalysator nach außen transportiert. Sprache ist dabei mehr als nachrangig. Der Workshop besteht aus einem angeleiteten Warm up und längeren Bewegungsphasen in der Gruppe, die auf Improvisation beruhen.

Stornierung

Stornierungen sind zwar nicht schön, passieren aber einfach, weil das Leben sich bewegt. Leider können wir das Risiko durch Ausfälle nicht alleine tragen. Solltest Du von der Anmeldung zurücktreten, bekommst Du vom Seminarbeitrag:

Bis 2 Wochen vorher bekommst du 50% zurück. Danach wird die volle Teilnahmegebühr fällig.

Das Stellen einer Ersatzperson ist möglich.

Sollte der Workshop durch den Dozenten oder motionlab.cologne abgesagt werden müssen, erfolgt eine kostenlose Umbuchung auf einen Workshop deiner Wahl in den drei Folgemonaten.
