A Contact Jam is an open (non-verbal) space to practice Contact Improvisation. A jam is not a class. There are no instructions. „Jam“ is often used in music to describe improvisation spaces.
The FriJam at motionlab.cologne, welcomes people with all levels of experience. If you are new to contact improvisation, it is helpful to inform yourself beforehand and to take enough time for breaks during the jam.
This space is an invitation to be present in all your fullness, to express yourself with your body and to explore and enjoy the connection to yourself, to others, to the creation. There is nothing else to do.
Feel free to think of the space as an offering to see and explore your needs, dreams, patterns and desires. You will only be able to fulfill some of them here.
It is an invitation to give others the freedom and safety to do the same: To make offers that make it easy to go into the dance and easy to leave the dance.
Everything is co-created by you. Feel your self-efficacy with pleasure and make sure that the space unfolds the way you need it to.

Eine Contact Jam ist ein offener (non-verbaler) Raum, um Contact Improvisation zu machen. Eine Jam ist kein Kurs. Es gibt keine Anleitung. „Jam“ bedeutet „Marmelade“ und wird auch in der Musik gerne verwendet, um Improvisationsräume zu bezeichnen.
Bei motionlab.cologne sind Menschen mit jeder Art von Vorerfahrung willkommen. Wenn du Contact Improvisation noch nicht kennst, ist es hilfreich sich vorher zu informieren und sich auf der Jam genügend Zeit für Pausen zu nehmen.
Dieser Raum ist eine Einladung, in deiner ganzen Fülle gegenwärtig zu sein, dich mit deinem Körper auszudrücken und die Verbindung zu dir, zu anderen, zur Schöpfung zu erforschen und zu genießen. Sonst gibt es nichts zu tun.
Betrachte den Raum gerne als ein Angebot, deine Bedürfnisse, Träume, Muster und Wünsche zu sehen und zu erforschen. Nur einige davon wirst du hier erfüllen können.
Es ist eine Einladung, anderen Menschen die Freiheit und Sicherheit zu geben, das Gleiche tun zu können: Angebote auszusprechen, die es leicht machen in den Tanz gehen zu können und leicht den Tanz verlassen zu können.
Alles wird durch dich mitkreiert. Spüre gerne deine Selbstwirksamkeit und sorge dafür, dass der Raum sich so entfaltet, wie du ihn brauchst.
